running 1/0 awg power 4 awg ground

your amp can only draw what the ground will let it....having a 4 gauge ground is only going to be able to draw the amount of current that the piece of 4 gauge will let it....so basically your power wire is limited by the ground

yes but its a waste to use the 1/0 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just use 4 awg..... think of how electricty flows... its like water... the smallest diameter dictates what u can put throught there

im gunna eventually run 2 amp so i ran 1 gauge all the way back but im only doing 1 right now so instead of buting a distro no im just gunna run the 1/0 directly to the amp

which is fine....a long piece of 0 gauge will be able to move more than a long strand of 4 gauge anyway...and a short piece of 0 (if its short enough) will be plenty for a 600 watt amp

it won't hurt a thing in the world =)

it doesn't HURT anything to have overkill.

just use it with 4 gauge ground for now, and then you add your other amp just keep the ground and go thorugh a dist block like your plan was....doesn't hurt anything

0 gauge is the secksy

i would run 0 gauge from the battery back to the trunk, and then run 0 gauge to your grounding point, and get 0,2,4 gauge distribution blocks for both, and run 4 gauge power and ground to the amp.

Then your already ready for your new equipment

The reason i say that is the 0 gauge is way overkill for 600 w, just run it to a dist. block, and use the extra you save compared to running the extra few feet to the amp to run a ground with, and distribute both to your amp

i have 1/0 to a t block to two 4 ga with 4 ga grounds. all stinger.
