RTA on a Mac Powerbook?

Has anyone done this successfully? Is the native audio hardware in a G4 Powerbook Titanium 1GHz capable of flat enough measurement?

I have a decent mic, an Audio-Technica 825, and have found a couple shareware programs that have RTA's: SignalScope, iSpectrum and Amadeus II. I don't really like any of them for this purpose, but I may make do. I have Virtual PC, so if a PC application is much better, lemmie know.

Any recommends on software? Do I need an external audio device like an iMic or better? Any tips or sites with? Fuggedaboudit?

Thanks!
