rpm's dropping with new system

Oh sorry, I remember reading that now haha. You should have OBD-2 anyways. Alternator, then definitely get you codes checked. Code checking should be cheap or free, depending on the locals.

Have a locals shop plug in the car's computer (ecu, whatver you want to call it) and have them read any codes it has thrown recently.

If that comes up as a dead end, then I have no idea. But, make sure to post up ANY code it reads and what it stands for.

what was the voltage drop when you were bumping it? My Honda has the same computer problem, it isn't compensating correctly for the accesorial drain and hence, in my situation I lose 300- 500 rpm or sometimes (and this is most irritating) it will rev from 800 to 1800 rpm repetitively...we thought that was caused by a bad IACV, but alass--that didnt solve the problem. And it wont throw a code either, even tho, after about 8 minutes of driving it makes the Engine light come on (Saving for a new computer)
