Router problems! please help

phones yes, but i turned them off, microwave yes of course but im not using it, toys, no.

I do have a brinks alarm thats wireless though.....

yes, the wireless card for the computer is listed, is that the one i need to remove?

yes...if you are going to do this, make sure you have the install cd or a copy of the driver available to do the reinstall with

well that will be super-ghey. I really dont think thats the prob, it has to be something with either my comp settings or the routers settings and im just too much of a noob to figure it out on my own.

Arrrgghhh, this is pissing me off, it just keeps connecting and disconnecting, its done it like 5 times in the last few minutes.

Easy. Does your laptop have a regular internet jack? If so, just go to belkin's website and download from there using the wired port on the laptop. Install and restart.

its not a laptop, but ya it does have a regular port, thats actually what im using right now.

Well, first off, you'll never get more than 11.0 Mbps if your router is a 802.11b because that's the transfer limit of wireless B.

- Did it just start doing this or has it always been like this ?

- Have you tried repositioning the router ?

- Have you tried resetting the router back to factory default settings ?

- Is the antenna securely attached to the wirless card on the computer ?

4) fck me, thats the problem i bet, my antenna fell off the comp and now i dont know where it is.

Are you serious about the 11.0 Mbps rate though? will that be sufficient for regular net surfing? (main reason i got this was so i could play on xbox live and my girl can be on the net so i dont have to hear her btch. lol
