if i am lazy about changing the router bit i just use a sander with 40 grit sand paperi dont got a router but i have other powertools at my disposal such as drills, table grinders hand held grinders etc...is there any type of bit or wheel attachment i can get to round off all the edges of my box?
it's a good cheap option, but the worst routerer on earth couldn't be beat by a rasp.Rasp:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Wood_rasp.jpg
It'll take the edges right off. They're quite cheap at harbor freight and such (like $5), and it'll do it just as fast as a router
I highly doubt it will do it as fast and as clean as a router.Rasp:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Wood_rasp.jpg

I wish i had about 6 routers so i didnt have to change the bits and all that. gets annoying as ****. but they are a life saver.Well, its fast lol.... Maybe not as fast as a router.
After some 60 grit (following the rasp) you won't tell a difference from a router once painted. I did mine yesterday (and I have a router too, didn't feel like taking it out lol), and it turned out fine.
Just a cheap alternative
Thats the reason I didnt use mine lol. I got a nice carbon bit set for x-mas too (30 some bits) and haven't even used any lol. I just needed a corner rounded, and it was either take out the rasp and do it. Or pull and extension cord out, take the router case outta the cabinet, plug that all in, get bits out and put in, get glasses... just seemed like a PITA because I was in a hurry, and didn't want a messI wish i had about 6 routers so i didnt have to change the bits and all that. gets annoying as ****. but they are a life saver.
understandable. if it was the whole box i would say you are an idiot for not using a router. but it wasnt so your not.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifThats the reason I didnt use mine lol. Router is a good investment. Just go to your local pawn shop and pick up a used one, and a $50 variety bit set from ebay.well I wanna prime and sand it down very smooth so I can paint it.
