Roof reinforcement

So guys with my 4 15's in my extended cab 2000 chevy silverado my roof flexs a ridiculous amount and really kills the bass. I'm gonna have someone weld something to it to stop the flex but what should I have welded to it?

Welding will melt the paint on the top of your roof. if you don't plan on painting avoid welding. many folks just glue MDF up to the roof panels.

Also keep in mind that reinforcing the roof changes competition classes if you intend to compete ever.
