Ron Paul 2012

I like Ron Paul better than anyone else, but the problem is Americans expect a quick fix for this country and it's not going to happen. We've been making big mistakes for 40 years or so. It's going to take even longer to get over the negative effects of our actions. So of course he's not going to be a perfect fix it all, no candidate can. You have to remember there are more factors than a president just being a president.

Ron Paul sounds sane until he starts talking foreign policy...then he heads right down the loony tunes road. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Id vote for the girl candidate before newt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Shelly is good lookin' for a 50+ year old broad but shit bro, she's whacked...Newt knows his shit and would bitch slap those moonbat dems in Congress all over D.C.

Newt has some good views, but he seems too crooked for me. He just seems real suspicious.
Newt is battle tested. Everything people give bill clinton credit for as far as economic prosperity and a great economy? Newt was the speaker of the house then making it all possible. That was Newt's economy and Newt's achievements. We could have a WAY worse president than Newt Gingrich. In fact we have one right now.

A lot of what you said has to do with the lack of good parenting in this country. That's not has to do with it more I think. A lot of parents don't care about their children's education. If they did, the students would behave and care more in school, which would allow the school to teach what they need to teach. No support means no education, even if the education is there.
I do agree the amount of good parenting has steeply gone down, there are other factors as well that are closely related to less care and involvement put into raising our children. IMO, parents are more lackadaisical when it comes to raising their children and I think that part of this is due to the breakdown of the traditional family setting and higher divorce rate than in the past. This has led people to focus on their own basic needs in times crisis, which is normal human behavior. This individualistic attitude has been embraced by the American society and has morphed itself into a core American value of modern society. This in turn has led everyone to become more selfish and less concerned with others to a certain degree. Especially now as the economy has taken a dump. To top it off people in general are working longer hours with decreased vacation or allowed time off. Our children are simply not getting the attention, care, and teaching at home that parents used to provide half a century ago. Since this is happening it is extremely important that we don't give up on the education system because if they aren't getting taught at home or at school, where else will they learn?

I am very against Ron Paul because he wants to get rid of the Department of Education. I have been close to the education system all my life, having family members and family friends that are teachers. As a human resource major I understand the need for one to have a good education and to possess as much knowledge, skill and ability to help find and retain a job. Sadly our education system has failed us, my textbook has stated from an HR Magazine article in 2007, that from a survey of 431 HR Professionals, 40% of employers indicated that high school graduates lack basic skills in reading comprehension, writing and math recquired for ENTRY LEVEL jobs and that 70% of employers said high school graduates are deficient in work habits such as professionalism, critical thinking, personal accountability and time management. This is a very serious issue and will cause labor shortages in the future. We all know the no child left behind program failed miserably but in times like this, it is important that we don't just give up and turn our backs to our education system.
I see, so our education system is a mockery but we're just a few hundred more beaurocrats and a few billion dollars away from complete success? The truth is, if you put our government in charge of the Sahara desert they would run it out of sand in 3 years and be borrowing sand from China. You contradict yourself. If the dept. of education is worthwhile why is education in the state it's in? What problem has the government ever solved by throwing more money at it?

Speaking of what a howling success the department of education is.....

moral of the story...................ron paul tells people how he will fix america...........not going to happen.........he will never win........if he did our country would be far worse with him then the great gw bush or obama. people can continue to vote for these people and watch it get worse or vote for a real politician who maybe crooked at times but so what all the other great presidents were
FINALLY..........the people here in american need to pull their own weight...people are given too many mulligans and are no respsonible.
Well that was a rational, well thought out, well supported, and eloquently stated argument. You have convinced me of whatever it is you are trying to say and you have also convinced me that the department of education is worth every billion we throw at it. They're doing a fine job of indoctrinating illiterate automatons that will believe whatever their TV tells them.

Rick perry has my vote or newt, I don't trust romney,I do like Ron Paul in a way cauae he has some good stuff but the way he thinks about foreign policy and the 9/11 thing, make him look really bad and crazy.....

So perry or newt has my vote....
