Rockford T1000 vs. JL Audio G1700

I have one D4 JL W6, wondering which amp would power it better? Going for SQL, running either amp at 2 ohms.

id take the RF over the non slash series JL anyday. be conservative with your gains. a full 1kw to that sub may or may not go over to well depending on your box and how hard you abuse the sub.

why though? the JL claims to provide the same power as the RF (at 2 ohm of course, RF is twice as powerful at 1 lol), and a higher s/n ratio.

i dont need the whole 1k out of the rockford, i was just wondering if it would be better due to the headroom i can play with (keep gain low)
