rockford p5002...adjusting crossover frequency

I just switched subs from a rockford 15 hx2 to a alpine r 1023(2ohm dvc) and im still using the same rockford p5002 amp bridged at 500watts 4ohms.

The amp was set to low pass mode at 320hz for the rockford sub. Thats what the shop had it set to.

Any recommendations on where I should set the cut off point for the alpine sub? I know people say to slowly adjust it and leave it were it sounds best. But I honestly cant really tell a difference between the frequencies.

They had it set to 320hz that had to sound like (s)hit, I normally don't go any higher then 80hz anything past that starts to pick up vocals through the sub and muddy's the lows that the sub was intended to play your front stage carry's from 80hz up into 15khz range. Also once you get out of the triple digits you will notice your lows are louder and cleaner and your amp and sub will not be working as hard.
