of the 2 mentioned go with the kicker l7. also 2 or 4 ohm doesn't make a sub better, it just allows you to wire them differently depending on your amp. if you feel like throwing away money on overpriced subs, go with jl like mentioned above. also post subwoofer questions in the sub section. i mean come on, headunits? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i would love to have the mix of both spl/sq.

as for listing it in the head unit area, i wasn't paying attention.

i know that jl is pretty much all about sq, but between the two kicker and rf which would give me the better of both worlds and which would be more durable? i have heard that rf can take a beating, but what about kicker?

as for ported or sealed, you tell me. that's why i am asking. let me know which sub would sound the best and how to box it up.

For that kind of money I would go with 2 RE Audio 12" SE subwoofers. It will save you a lot of money and sound much better and get much louder than both of those subs, but if you MUST stick with those two I would say Rockford, I have worked with them a lot and are reliable and have great spl and sq.

You could get 2 12" RE Audio SX subs for that price, but you will need a clean 2000 watts to puch them, but WOW that would be loud!

it's funny how people ask a question pertaining to two subs and post always lead off on a rabbit trail........so much easier to only reply to the 'original' question....

but, to the poster...both will take a beating and keep on going. If you want a mixture of both, that will be enclosure dependant.

A medium or smaller ported box will do fine, and proper power....so I suggest to look, and listen to both and let your ears decide which you prefer to the two mentioned.

keep it stock...there is no such thing as what sub company is better.......they both r trash 2 me.....the last thing i bought from rockford was the first hx2..and be4 that i bought 2 500m's which to me imo where the best sub amps they ever made...it went down to 1ohm and didnt get hot at all..i miss those days

and as far as kicker...please...there subs come from the factory with a defect already...when my friend found that out he stop being an authorized dealer 4 them.
