rockford or kicker?

nothin over the top, im in college, my job pretty much covers my rent, but ive saved a bit of money, and lookin to spend 200$ on a sub or 2. Ive got a memphis PRD1000 amp that i got in high school, 1000 watts at 1 ohm, 600 at 2 ohm, but i sold the subs i had before i moved cause i didnt want to get em stolen. i got tired of 0 bass, so i stuck an old audiobahn in and powered it up with my amp, and so far its been ok, no break in attempts or nething, lol. but im gettin pretty tired of it, so im lookin to make a lil upgrade, im buyin ebay most likely, so im pry lookin between 1 12" rockford T1, or 2 12" Kicker CVRs. The CVRs are gonna cost lik 150$, the rockford will pry be around 200-225$, im not familiar with either of these, im lookin for a lil SQ, but mostly SPL, any input would be helpful, thanks.

i got one kicker cvx 12" with about 875 rms pushing it. great sub for spl not the greatest sq but i wanted spl so it worked for me. got it for $179 shipped new on ocs.com

Spend a little more and get cvx's if you can. The cvr's aren't bad subs for what you are wanting.

hell ****in yea thats a deal!! kicker makes good bass subs if you get the high end kickers, but sq sucks on most any kicker woofers you come across. Rockford has fallen off the past few years but the t1'a ****in pound! and not to bad sq either! i sell those at my shop, we are direct with rockford and those subs go for $499.99 per sub!

thanks guys, ill check out that ocs.com outspoken mentioned, assman, thats a great deal, but the 200-225 is breakin my balls as it is, lol, if ur gonna hav them for a lil while, maybe in a month or 2, ill see if i can scrap enough, but right now i dont kno if i can pull it, also ive only got 1000 watts, my amp might be a bit underrated, but i dont think im gonna see much more than 500 a sub, dunno if thats enough to power 2 of em, but let me kno whats goin on. thanks again for the replies

RF subs have the shittiest sq to me. But they sure do pound. The Kickers aren't much better, but they do have a little more sq, to me at least. just my .02

it will run more effeciant with a 1ohm stable amplifier, he only wants one sub, not 2. you are right if he wanted to do 2 subs, but for 1 go with RF
