Hey now!

I got a RF p1000-1bd at a pawn shop today. I figured a 100 bucks wth.. I have my Eclipse Titanium in my car now at 4 ohms running off a Clarion DPX150001 . Well I installed this RF and its like night and day difference. I was in shock by the volume increase. I checked my gains again to make sure I didn't so something stupid but it was at 1/4 .. I did that for the initial setup just to be safe.

Is this normal? Never owned a RF. Iv had a MTX 1501d, a Pioneer 9601, JL A1800, Bamf 5500d (I know the bamf is overrated)

Thx

RF makes decent gear even though forums bash them. If buying new it's definitely not the best bang for your buck, but if you can find them used for a decent price....I've yet to be disappointed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. You're wired to 1 ohm now? That may be part of the gain.

Running two more amps on a stock alt.. The voltage drop was crazy at 2 ohms.. 4 ohm was not as bad. This is a daily ride. 182 mile roundtrip to work everyday..But with this RF the voltage was a lot better too.

Just put in my 15" RF Power at 2 ohms and I am just blown away. Voltage is good. 13.2 is lowest it goes. I can actually say for the first time in a long time, I'm happy with the way everything in my car sounds.
