yeah if all you want is nothin but SPL then yeah they would be a good choice, now if they are used subs then you can find much better subs for 250 a piece b/c hx2's are typically not subwoofer's that are driven with 300watts especially the power hx2's.

ok what do you mean there not a sub and what about the 300 watts

i want something thats going to be very loud and make you voice trembel when your sitting in the car in other word i wanna loud car with bass you can really feel so much you need to step out of ther car

now my question is will the power hx2 do that and are there any web site for tuning a box to 51 hz

yes they are very loud subwoofer's and when i said there not a SUBWOOFER DRIVEN by 300watts typically i mean, if some guy wanted to sell you used hx2's for that much i would pass b/c those subs are typically driven by 1000wrms a piece if the people want mad spl.

larger ported box = more SPL

I have 2 10"HE2 subs and they are 400rms and 800 peak. Got them brand new off of ebay for about 90 bucks a piece. Just installed them in a custom box I made. I have a JBL 600.1 pushing them. OMG they hit lol!

blueprint 1203s would be as loud but actually sound good also elemental subs and shockers would kick their butts

i totally agree with audiolife on this one, why get dirty sounding subs no matter how good the box, when you can get great sounding subs like the blueprints for less. that's a good price on those he2's though wildhr i got my 2 12HE2's for 191 including a 4 year service plan on them but that's from work so that's different, what do you think of the SQ on them though wildhr??

i am not a fan of rf anymore....i owned 1 power hx2, and yes it was loud, but i had to give it alot of power, its a very inefficient sub, and it had very poor sq.....and the people from DD themselves told me that they are not g0od because they get are more suseptible to being blown....

Like the others said, go for a blueprint, i was gonna get 2, but decided on the dd 3512 instead..hoefully it was the right call.

i agree, but i still stand behind rf. Rf is a great company, i own 2 12" rf xlcs(not the loudest things in the world, but they hit hard and have decent sq) If i just wanted 70/30 sq/spl, id definitely go with rf again.

fuzzgate sucks.....nuff said..........loud and no sq.....i had rf amps and had noise probs, got rid of the amps and the noise went away.....bought a rf hu, horrible sq and system noise, bought my cva 1005 sq is excellent and noise is gone....no more lost points at competitions because of noise.

how bout the jbl 1200.1, hows does that compare to the rf bd1000.1?

noise wise that is?

might be good for you noise wise, but you could save alot of dough and prolly be just as happy with the jbl amp.

yeah that and with the jbl you get 1ohm stability but the rf can do it i've been told.
