Rockford Fosgate T2?

how many people here have used this subwoofer? how does it sound? I got a decent deal on 1 12" so im going to see how this works.

what size box have people used it in?

I had 2 12 L7's in a box thats around 2.5 CU TOTAL, will this be louder since 2.5CU is enough for one 12 not 2?

havent used it, was going to buy it but changed my mind coz from what i've heard its for SPL setup (im more of a SQ guy) and plus it wiehgs like 60lbs. So i changed my mind.

i have 4 15 T2's im about to change to, appears to be a really nice sub, but ill see in about a week, weighs as much as my BTL

its a **** near 900$ sub, so i would hope it sounds good

To answer your other question that one 12 will most likely not be louder than the 2 12s bc of cone area

had 1 each t2 12"

has 2 each T2 15"

not particularly loud or great sounding

the T2 12"was running off a t20001bd 1st

than a t40001bd

the T2 15's were off t40001bd

i also do not like the looks of the driver

cones are delicate as far as dents and dings

wholsale $400

for that price i likes tons of subs better

i slaughtered a local shop around town with 2 12 l7s he had 2 t2 on t1000db i run almost the same power every one tought i beat him. i realy dont recoment them inside his car it got loud it just wasnt low enough maybe the 15s get lower never heard them , he said hes ganna get 2 more t2s now but yeah i say thumbs down u can get better for ur cash

well i only have around 3.0 CU FT to work with after displacement and everything so thats not nearly enough to get good potential out of the L7's so i figured if i went with 1 12 in that box it would maybe be as loud?

*eidit* sorry for bumping an old thread did not know this was an old thread till it was to late sorry....

I originally bough an Alpine type X and then out of no where one of the voice coils blew so i called Alpine and talked to a very rude guy that actually told me they do not do re-cones unless its still under warranty and must be bought and installed by a licensed professional that after the warranty runs out there is nothing they will do for you even if you want to pay for it. So i saved up money and kept my eye on T2's over ebay and finally snagged a used one that was in mint condition for $225 but 3 days after i received it i totaled my car and my T2 busted through the box it was in and crushed the cone, I remember wanting to cry over that lol. So i called RF with denial that they would do anything at all for me after my experience with Alpine but the lady i spoke to was very nice and gave me an address to send the speaker too and for me to pay $130 i believe (in some way i don't remember) for a re-cone and she told me that RF tries to get there repairs out fast and they don't send back the same speaker they just send a brand new one!!! So i sent it out and within 4-5 days i had a brand new T2!!

But anyway my T2 is sitting in the Rockford Fosgate recommended box (build it yourself, i did, people actually try sell that thing on eBay for like $300 when it takes maybe no more then $35 MAX to build) and omg this thing is awesome i have a Hifonics 1600 watt amp powering it and wired to 2 ohms. This is not a light speaker and with the added weight of the box it will weigh probably around 120 pounds maybe. This sub is awesome it is loud as **** and is like an incredible improvement over my alpine.

After this experience i have not bought anything Alpine and WILL NOT buy anything from them again

I've installed a 12'' t2 in that very "300$ ebay box" made by 'FAT BOX' and tuned just for that sub. It's heavy and sounds and pounds beautifully. It's definately worth a try man...
