quick answer if it does not rate at .5 ohms in the specs, then chances are its a no no to run at that ohm load.

im saying yes. I owned a 2000 and ran it at .5 and .75 and had absolutely no problems from it. daily and everything, only got a little warm on the black heatsink internals were fine. those amps have the best cooling of any amp i have ever owned the fans do a excellent job of circulationg the air keeping the internals cool.

the 40001s dont like low ohms to my knowledge, never really used a t1000 though

thats what your 4k is doing at 1 ohm so think how much current its drawing at .5ohms. What kinda electrical did you have?
