Rockford Fosgate Subs/Amp Question

New to the site, looking for some help..

I recently purchased 2 12 inch Rockford Fosgate TI's (dual 4 ohm) and a Rockford Fosgate T1500 amp.

When hooked up only one will work (either one) but if I do both they are so quiet can barely hear them, but with the one it shakes the neighborhood.

I wired these like I always have in the past with my systems but never had a dual 4 ohm system. Each sub has a switch like thing on it with an arrow. It points to either 2 ohm or 8 ohm. Right now they are on 2. If I take them out and turn it to 8 will this fix the problem? Do I need to wire these any differently? right now its sub + to port + to amp + and same for negative.

Are you talking about the T1500bd or bdcp?

the amp should be 1 ohm stable , sounds like they the subs are out of phase
Dagnammit...didn't think about that. Good call.

RMS Power Output:

4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 channels

2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 channels

1 ohm: 1500 watts x 1 channels

1-Ohm Mono Stable

what exactly do you mean run them parallel?

Yup. Turned the switch to 8 ohm on each. Each sub had only 1 + and 1 -.. wired the positives together and the negatives together and ended up with 1+ and 1- wire going to the amp.

if you switched them to 8 ohms each then you only are getting a 4 ohm load at the amp. they need to be switched to 2 ohms each sub then wired to the amp the same way .you'll get 3 x more power

dude, it already gives me a headache at volume of 15.. with bass at -6, treble at +6, can barely even hear the music over the bass. dont think I could handle 3x more in my 06 Mazda 3 LOL! Maybe if I was going for competition I would do it.. but for now its good enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
