Well my friend was playing his subs and then all of a sudden they cut off and the amp wont turn on. so we thought he blew it but then realized the positive and negative wires were switched going to the speakers. Well we un hooked it and then later hooked it back up and it powers on but the subs arn't hitting at all. ive hooked up my amp and his subs hit fine, so im not sure exactly whats wrong. ive taken the cover off and nothin looks fried but im not an expert. ill get some pics later when i get home, house is currently in the process of a move.

anyone interested?

I think it was bridged at 1 or 2 ohms. Because 2 dual 2 is either .5 or 2 ohms. 2 single 2 is either 1 or 4 ohms.

Did you have it wired in series or parrallel?

series is amp red to sub red, sub black to sub red sub black to amp black.

parrallel is all red to red. black to black

i made a post in the amplifer section and they told me resversing the polarity wouldn't do anything. which i was like 100% positive it would.. but ya i didn't do it he did cause it was 5 in the morning when he did it.

and i dont know what they were wired at i just know they were wired together at 2 ohms.
