rockford fosgate p3's need some advice from some of you guys

I'm considering getting a couple of rockford p3's from a buddy on the cheap, anybody have any experience with them? Are they spl oriented or sql oriented. Are they complete junk, or descent subs?

They're decent subs, but if your gettin them cheap go for it.

My girlfriends bro had a pair. They sound ok. He hit a 138.xx with 1 in the trunk off about 800 watts.

Friend has 4x of them..12s in a pretty nice box in an ext cab f150 off a T1500 and it slams..his whole truck is dynamatted so its real clean, it sounds great imo. Real painful to the ear.

my friend has a JL 500/1 on a 12" P3... it gets plenty loud.

do not send them more than rated.. be weary of rated.. they will burn up

i would just say go easy on em... I set one on a 500watt amp tuned down a bit for this kid.. he decided he wanted a little more turned it up a notch and it died.. all within 1 day
