Rockford Fosgate 851 Amp

I just purchased one of these amps and installed it in my 04 F350 Crew Cab Ford truck. I also installed an Alpine CDA-9820 XM stereo Head Unit along with Rockford Model (?) 6x8 coaxials. The rear speakers are still stock because I havent figured out where to relocate them to just yet.

The sound quality I am getting just doesnt seem to be that great from this combination. It gets plenty loud enough but the crispness of the sound and the combination of highs and lows just seems out of wack. I know that the rear speakers have an affect in all of this but even if I just run it on the front two speakers only it seems not to sound as good as I was expecting.

Can anyone offer any help in the setup of this combination as I obviously do not know squat about this subject.

IMO you got too much power for just 6x8 's. I have a 551x and its pretty strong and I am powering a set of rockford mids/tweeters and factory 6x9's.

What do you recommend I do for speakers? I am just looking for the best sound not amplitude!
