Rockford Amp: Any good?

I am considering buying a Rockford Fosgate 800.2 Amp. Can I get some opinions on it, preferably from owners or people who know what they are talking about.

Hey, thanks for the help. One more question, do you think that a one year old good condition 800.2 and two Alpine R-12" subs in a box in good condition is a good deal for $550? I am thinking about buying them from a guy on this message board, and have never bought any on the internet before. Do I have any recourse if he sends me stuff that doesn't work?

No really guys, aren't there a lot of people that buy on here? There has got to be some method for it. Coulld I just send him a check and cancel it if I don't get what I paid for?

are they this years RF amps?

if so, i wouldn't get one. they may have power, look kinda cool, have quality, but this years RF amps have an ANNOYING buzz that goes with them...

i've powered a few subs with them, and everything is wired up right and tight, but the amps just have an irritating buzz when they on......

i'd look elswhere for an amp, but the type R's are nice

idk. all the ones i've heard have an annoying buzz..

and even others have told me they buzz

That is a pretty good price on that setup. I think that that amp sells for almost that price brand new. Becareful buying used speakers though. You do not know what kind of abuse they have been through. I personally would not but used speakers but you never know you might get good ones. Also i think that this years model is now a 700 not 800.

i've only had the subs since february and the only thing wrong with them is that they both have a little piece on the bottom kinda tore up (where u put the screws) cuz i hit them on my door when i put them in my back seat other than that they are perfect

I Have this years RF 500s and Have no buzz at all and for that matter I personaly have never heard a buzz from any RF amp in good working order that is properly installed!!
