hey guys, i am wondering if you hink it is ok to run an alpine x type 12 on a rockford fosgate 801s amp.

the x type (as you may know) calls for 1000watts rms at 2 ohms (dual 4 ohm)

the rockford is 800 to 1000 rms @ 4 ohm or 400x2 @2 ohm.

does anyone have experience with running this amp at 2 ohms bridged?

do you think it will be a problem? i know they are tough amps. please let me know opinions asap. thanks!

solid amp, but itll heat up and probably die after a while @ 2ohms bridged (1ohm per ch). personally, id ditch the type x and get a dual 2ohm woofer. try and idmax v3 or an older re xxx.

make sure you have an extra quality brand bat in the back next to the amp
