rockford 800a4 power/ground ??

This is an easy question for you guys, but this amp I just got has 2 power and 2 ground inputs. Not sure why? there each 8awg, I'm assuming I can use 1 4awg wire and just split the wire hairs into 2 ports right?

it has 2 power/ground inputs for a reason.

just like the orion 2500d.

just use a distro block to split the 2 8 gauge runs to the amp. it'll get more power and run better/efficiently.

well i wouldnt say its gonna get any more power, but i suppose it would flow a little easier.

I have the same amp.. Whats the worse that will happen if we split one 4AWG to two 8AWG without dist. block? Thing is I already have a dist block 0AWGin to 4AWG out, or should I just add another dist block?

how you gonna split 1 4gauge to 2 8 gauge without a distro block?!? i can't picture anything except ghetto wiring.

just get another d. block. simple as that.

Yea pretty much ghetto wiring with some electrical tape.. Does the other dist block have to be fused? The 4awg is fused from the first dist block.

i have a RF amp (Punch 801S) that also has 4 power input/outputs but I only use two wire runs to power it. It wont actually get more power by using 4 wires will it?

And also my noob side will show here.. when you say it'll run better/more efficiently what exactly does that do? The bass will sound better and if so by how much? Right now I keep my amps cooled off with 4 pc fans so if running better just means cooler I'll probably continue to use just 2 wire runs.

when he says more efficient it means that your sub will be getting powered efficiently and consistantly.
