Rock chip in windshield + 4 15's = bad?

I need some opinions on this.

I got a rock chip in my windshield driving to my parents place this weekend. Its not a crack chip, but the windshield spider'd a little bit (around the size of a dime or nickel)

With four 15's on 4krms beating on it, can i just go get this repaired with the whole vacuum/glue fill method, or will i need a new windshield?

i have no doubt that my windsheild will be f*cked if i dont do something about it.

The question is, can i get it repaired (they put a vacuum on the split and fill it with some sort of glue), or will i need to get a new windshield?

Im getting metered on the 28th, so i need to know ASAP.

reading>me. my bad man...but ya they should be able to fix it...but with 4-15s, not so sure man...I would just replace it if I were you.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

just get it fixed and it should be good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif i do autoglass. but it also depends how they do it and if they fack up. but most of the time after someone does a repair and it still spreads they apply ur $40 or whatever u pay torwards a new windshield

know anything about Novus?

Thats the only glass shop around here, they specialize in tinting and windshield repair though.

That, and they are partnered with the dealership i bought my truck from, so i may be able to score a free fix //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ur car is a chevy? no carlite for joo

thought u had a ford for some reason.

after they use the rock chip machine beat on the shit. what we normally do is after the accrilic(sp?) dries we hit the outside of the winshield with a fist to see if it spreads or not. u should do that when they are done

no i meant those types of glass. ask them what they are going to put in if they say anything fy or xyg tell them no. those glass manufactuers are pretty bad imo

my have 2-3 small spots on my windshield that were repaired w/that method (small cracks are fixed for free from my insurance company). I have the setup in my sig, did 150.3 sealed up on the dash. So far i have not had a problem, but then again my windshield doesn't seem to flex as much as other vids i've seen that that meter much less than I.
