I have-

2007 Specialized S-works road

1996 marin pine mountain converted to commuter bike

2009 giant trance x3 (best combination cross country, dh, dj bike for my price range there)

all have major tweaks

i hate to see people hating on roadies, but it's true that most people who ride are beyond annoying and lame.

I have this thing in my shed, my uncle and I built it before I could weld. Yamaha quad bars ftw!

It was an old mountain bike. I put a different crank and sprocket and pedal arms upfront to try to stop it from throwing the chain off, but it still does. It has no derailer on it now, would buying a single sprocket rear wheel fix it?

I have a hyper bmx I got out of the dump... haha

And I have a blue 80s sekine girls bike which I also ride...

what BB did you get? and what wheels?
Truvativ crank and bb, with a bulletproof bb adapter that I got from harris cyclery (schwinns bb is huge!). No-name arriv wheels/hubs, just some cheapies I bought off of ebay. I'll tool around on those for a fair bit until I can get something nicer with maybe some campy or phil wood hubs. The paint came out pretty good, with any luck I can get some decent pictures up of it soon. Gotta find someone to press in that bb adapter though, doubt I can bang it in myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Edit: here's a pic of the wheels.

Ugliest POS ever.

Sweet, its the only way to go. Mine turned out nice, but it wasn't much cheaper than a powder coat. I have an old Peugeot frame that is powdercoated white that I need to sell. Certainly more durable. Almost tempted to go with hmmm...I have a frame, I have the wheels..I have a french threaded campy bb...I have a crank now...I'd only need a brake which I have....a handlebar and stem, a seat and seat post. Hmmm....powder coated Peugeot which I did none of the work on, or the Schwinn which I busted me arse getting done? Choices...........

Edit: Pic of the Peugeot frame.
