road, mountain, fixie, bmx bicycle riders thread.

I love down tube shifters.
Their kinda old-school. I like em! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

For the most part, other than the seat and tires, and a new schwinn water bottle the bike is bone stock...minus tuneups and whatnot.

How do you like the WTP frames? I have been eyeing a few in Danscomp magazines. I just can't see myself spending that much on something I have never seen anyone use, nor use myself.

WTP has for sure moved up in the bmx world. I love the frame!! favorite one so far. I had a fit s3 previously but that go stolen. I like the fact that its a clean frame with no brake mounts and super short rear end. Make manuals sooo easy to do which I like doing a lot of. What one are you looking at

I used to ride a lot. I had a Specialized hardrock pro and a specialized 415 bmx bike. Never did too many crazy stunts just mainly cruised around town on the bmx. On the hardrock I did quite a bit of wood trail riding and dirt trail riding.

Picked up a frame off of ebay this week, going to go with a single speed buildup I thinK. It's an old peugeot U08, so other than the crappy french specifics it should make for an interesting build. Pics when available.

if you ride that on main roads i hate you and all of your kind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I ride, but on bike paths only, so I am with this dude!! I hate riding in central fl where fn EVERYBODY rides in the mornings on weekends and all the Lance wannabes ride 4 and 5 wide on the main roads!! Central FL is a great place to ride and has the paths to make it safe, enjoyable and there are rest stations along the way..... I try not to buzz too close to people but F em, sometimes if they dont get over I aint giving an inch either.. and thats coming from someone who rides!!

I've rode BMX for a while, but kinda quit when I moved to Utah (6yrs ago). I see kids all the time on fixed gear bikes. I don't understand it. I'm not knocking it, I just don't see the positives, just negatives (i.e. blown out knees).

What are the positives?
