How much power can these subs take daily in recommended sized ported enclosure with ideal electrical.
i lke the xmax on that sub.How are these subs and can they take more than ratedDIYCable.com : Intro » Home » Exodus Subwoofers »
They're low end monsters. The XBL^2 woofers aren't necessarily made for high output, but lots of smooth throw and good distortion levels. And power needed is dependent upon the application you put it in. You seem hung up on underrated woofers...I'd gladly take a woofer that doesn't need a ton of power to get the most out of it.How are these subs and can they take more than ratedDIYCable.com : Intro » Home » Exodus Subwoofers »
He also keeps picking woofers that aren't really known for being abuse proof lol. Every driver he has picked is generally a higher end driver that isnt' necessarily designed for the boomer crowd. They're low end monsters. There's no reason to assume a sub is better because it can maybe handle more power than it's rated for. It just simply means the manufacturer gave it a conservative power rating.
you couldnt merge this one with the exact question for the Shiva? How much power can these subs take daily in recommended sized ported enclosure with ideal electrical.
Wiggens has nothing to do with any SSA product, not to mention the Xcon is an overhung design.Paying retail? I know you made up your mind, but I can guarantee those Xcons are NOT 100 dollars better than the Tempest X, if they are at all. I'm not even sure if Dan did the Xcon's design because if he didn't, not all XBL^2 designs are equal.
