RLi8 question

I have a Chevy HHR with a SQ set up Eclipse CD7000, Focal K2 power component set ups, Audiocontrol DQXS, Audison LRXi and presently an 11" Focal V2 sub in a deck panel with a sealed box. I want ti restore the deck to a stock fuctional state and use the stock 8" sealed box and opening in the rear side panel.

I have noticed the Sound Splinter RLi8 and wonder if it would be a suitiable replacement for the Focal? How much performance would I lose? Should I look into Focal's 8"er?

The rl-i is a great driver. Ive heard it out perform 12" drivers. I think you would be very happy with it.
