i'm debating between these too, i was gonna go with the idmax but for the cash forget it. anyway which sub would be better in 2.0-2.5 CF ported box around 28-32 Hz with 600 rms@ 2ohms going to it. and do both of these subs come in dual 4 ohm. i listen to rap mostly. And i would rather have one of these because here in canada we don't carry **** like this.

If you have an amp that does 600w @ 2ohm, then your only option is the Rl-p as the Avalanche as dual 2ohm coils (1ohm and 4ohm are the only wiring options).

I'd have gone with the Rl-p anyways, though.

no more avas in stock until you wait for the new model to come out.

ill tell you this...i just installed my ava12 in a 2^3 ported box tuned to 30hz and man, that thing wails. it put 2 jlw3v2's in a 3^3 sealed box w/ 300w to each, to shame (though, i must say, its not saying much for w3's.)

if you can get ahold of an ava used, do it...itd be well worth it. the quality, and durability is all there...

and the excursion on her is **** insane. check around these forums, i am going to post some pr0n eventually of her moving.

only problem is your amp doesnt seem 1ohm stable. so you're ended up w/ the SS. ive heard nothing but great things about the sub anyways. cant lose either way.

cool my amp can do 4 ohm but half the wattage is a waste for the ava

do u recommend the box specs on SS web site 2.0CF 230Hz ported

also i take it the rl-p can get low but what about for the dance music notes a nice tight bump??

The Rl-p will accurately reproduce anything you throw at it. For "trance" or techno it's extremely tight and punchy, but it can still get low and rumble when you need it to.

I wouldn't recommend you tune to 230hz though....that's a little high //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif 2.0cuft @ 28-34hz would do wonderful, however.
