RL-p boner?

It seems that the RL-p is the new Type R (uh-oh)! Well I've been reading and searching and reading some more and there's no doubt that the Rl-p has great SQ. I'm a little concern about the output though, a few people have said that they are just not loud enough. I'm thinking about getting two RL-p 15's, ported, 900 watts each. Is there anything with equal SQ but greater SPL for less than $550 shipped?

If a pair of ported 15" Rl-ps, which if the enclosure is properly designed should be capable of a fair bit over 140db, is not loud enough for you....then I don't know what to tell you.

Thead jackWould a single Rl-p 15" on 500 watts sealed be worth a shiz, or would I be piss'n in the wind?

I already have the amp.
depend on the install, person, vehicle etc. I'm thinking about doing a single 15" sealed in tacoma w/ 1k watts. I'm gonna try my 12 out sealed and ported...might just keep the 12 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I think in most cases teh 15 w/ 500 would be plenty for most people...most, not all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

On music at that...on tones that should easily be in the upper 140's

Anyone who wants music at either of those levels wont be hearing thier loved ones for very long.

on SS's forum I think someone did a 151+ in a ext cab truck on the new tl...might be wrong though.

So I take it that no one can think of anything with equal sq but greater spl for less than $550 shipped. Looks like I'm going with the RL-p's then. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wacky.gif.cf4a48f9e6dfe9504ffd2c946fd2f340.gif

I've got 2 15" rl-p's in a box ported to 32hz, 900w ea, and doing 146.6 on a new TL mic on the dash. They get VERY loud. Anyone that says they dont, it's got to be 'cause they've already lost their hearing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They do a 151 plus with just 2.......go for it ill have some number with 4 of them my other 15 comes in tommorrow from mike so we will see.....
Sounds good man, let us know when you get some numbers. What box should I go with, what Mike recommends on the site or does someone else have any better plans?
