rl-p 18's in the works!!!!

allowed to be public knowledge? LOL
Many companies that are working on prototypes or possible up comming models, usually do not prefer the general public to know about them. There are many reasons such as the prototypes failing, cost/performance ratio, final cost to customer, material costs, not being the right time to move the product, etc.

There are a few people out there now that are starting new driver companies that do not want people to know what they are doing or making until they are well established.

along with his post on a hom diy audio forum, he also mentioned these factors.

as for the rl-p 18, i "specualte" that $350 would be the price point. No i dont have any inside info im just a customer with high hopes =D Mike's products are the absolute best quality for the cost im convinced.

he posted this news in regard to the popularity of tc drivers, and is needing to keep up with the product line.

an rl-p 18" beast in a home audio install, be afraid, very afraid.

I did not know this was allowed to be public knowledge. I am sure the RL-p 18 will be a quality sub.
A quick Yahoo! search lead me to a single thread, which lead me to a few more in which Mike has been publicly stating the possibility of an 18" Rl-p driver....the first of which (that I could find in my 1 minute of searching //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ) was mentioned back in late August.

I really dont think the TC9 should be slapped on an 18" cone. Doing some research is what steered me away from doing that myself back when I had my TC9 motor.
my $0.02

Rl-s 18....now that is something worth seeing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
i honestly dont think it will be on the TC9 motor. I think it will be on a new motor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
