I have been thinking about trying these out to replace the MA's I am currently running. I am completely satsfied with them, but have heard alot of good things about SS. my question is would a pair of these handle my A3000's strapped? I would hate to spend almost 700 on subs just to smoke them in a couple days. Thanks guys.

wat amps are the A3000 again?
edit: PAs are generally overrated, so they're not really making the power they're claiming to do. But if u keep ur gains down then it can be done
I know they're overrated, but they still put out a good 1800ish+ watts. thanks man.

wat kind of charging system do u have? 3600+watts are still alot
as of right now I have a 280 amp alt, red top under the hood, and 2 HC800's out back. I was planning on upgrading when I walled off my car, but I have since decided to just keep running 2-15's behind my rear seat. this is in an 01 blazer extreme (2dr).

It is fairly loud.

I had 4 of the hk15x2's and IMO you cant find a louder sub for the price....i think with the rl-p you will get quieter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

really? I was thinking about either 4-15's in a poted wall, or 8 in a sealed, but now I am wanting to bag and bodydrop a 4 door blazer, so I just have to settle with 2-15's right now

the RLp 15's can take some power, but i don't think it'll take the amount of power you're intending on sending it.

i personally won't send any more than 1200 per sub. i had 1000 on mine for a few weeks and it got plenty loud.

yeah i had 4 in a 20 cu. ft. @36hz ported wall in a 92 s10 blazer 2 dr on 2 MA HK4000D's....did a 157.6 on an audiocontrol...not that bad for a DD...you should get 2 more and wall that *****!!!

I heard an excursion with 4 of the MA's in a wall powered by 2 HK802's, and it didn't even sound as loud as my truck, I wasn't impressed at all. He is supposedly hittin 153 sealed on the dash with a TL. I am seriously doubting that since I only did 147.9 on the TL, granted it was with a skipping cd on a sine sweep. I want to meter it again, but I dont have any money to pay for it right now. if the RL-p's wont take the power I will just stick with the MA's.

the RLp's aren't meant to be all out SPL monsters. they're solid SQL. they'll get loud, and sound good while doing it. but if you're aiming for strictly SPL i'd look elsewhere.

Thats the thing. I am looking for a loud *** daily driver. I pretty much never meter my car, in fact I couldn't care less what I hit. I am looking for some decently price 15 that can drop right in with my current setup. I have heard good things about sound splinter, and thats why I was looking into those. I guess I should ask for suggestions as well. I would like to find subs for about 700-800 for the pair, 15's, 6.5 cube box(for the pair), and can take a pair of A3000's strapped.

two RL-p 15's in a right box will get **** loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just turn down the amps a tad so you don't risk frying the coils.

If you're looking to send 1800 watts to a sub, I don't think the Rl-p is the sub you're looking for. So if you want some loud *** subs that'll handle the power and get loud, maybe you should look into a pair of AQ HDC3 15s, DD 3515s, Kicker L7s, etc.
