Ripping music off of internet streams is playing back too slow.. help!

I've tried a number of recordings with different programs. Every time I play it back it's too slow... slower than it sounded when I heard it from the internet stream. This kind of music is not offered on any local station, so I was going to burn a cd of 80 minutes of the stream so I could listen to it while driving. Someone suggested the bitrate was off, causing the slow playback sound. I leave it set at 44100 hz.

Any suggestions?
