Hi I ordered a 15ae.22 back in june,been playing it since and I recently noticed that the basket is cracked,it's in a sealed 1.5 cubic ft. box,never played the speaker hard at all(I learned the hard way R.I.P XXX)I treated my 15ae.22 like a baby,what did I do wrong?

please email back asap so I can send it to you guys and get it fixed.

p.s.the speaker still sounds like it's brand new.

Basket cracked? I highly doubt it eDs fault, yet there could have been a defect in the casting. Did you look it over before you even installed it? If it still performs well, why even worry about it?

if you treated it well, and never dropped it, i would say it possibly happened during shipping and you never noticed it though. however, i don't know of many companies that would warranty a cracked basket after 3 months. you never know though....

A cracked basket doesn't just happen.....it's either a shipping problem or a OEM problem, not eDs fault. Playing hard or not, it won't crack the basket.

hi,

my basket cracket after 2 months,it wasn't user error. The gain on my brutius 1500 was 25 percent high(around 8 volts)the speaker didn't really see 1500 watts(maybe 1200),it couldn't handle it for that long.the 15ae is an extemely efficient sub very light moving mass 275 grams vs. XXX 300+ grams.I'll throw the XXX back in as soon as I send it back to re to get the tinsel leads fixed.

It probably happened from the box tipping over during a turn or something then just got bigger from there on.

Not that easy. You have to jolt it pretty hard against something very solid to do that.

that depends on the basket, but nowadays most baskets are pretty darn sturdy
