Overheated real bad, the water pump is gone and will weill cost more than $600 to replace. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

About $5000

I took home test drove a 1998 Ford Ranger Ext cab, with a 2.5l 4 cylinder and a 5 speed transmission. I like it, it's slow but will get good mpg and has room for systemage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Plus I need a truck pretty bad. What do you all think? $5200

I have to say I agree with alpine3612's suggestion as I am a big Toyota fan myself.

Or...

You could spend the $6-700 on the Porsche and keep it.

I just saved you over $4K.

That'll be a 5% Finder's Fee, please. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Really? They are kind of expensive IMO, great trucks yes but expensive.

The porsche is pretty much junk, I hafta spend at LEAST a realistic $2000 before it is going to be safe or bearable for me to drive for much longer, in PARTS ALONE. Brake pads, struts, tires, a battery, a few senors, door gaskets, window gaskets, suneroof gaskets... I'm selling it and a 944 pars car, with a spare head and a feew other parts for 1300 dollars.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.. you have a steady job? pay? if so put that 5000 down on a new car..
I have 3 jobs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif but don't make much money, only about 2000 saved up. Doing a 1000 down payment on the truck, my payments should be like 90 a month for 48 months.

I need a truck preety bad though, I alwyas have to borrow my paren'ts truck to do stuff at one of my jobs within th family business and it sucks, I'll enjoy driving my own vehicle much better. It's ext cab so i have room to drop my 3 12" JL Audio W6's in it. Putting a comp set is gonna be a ***** though, I've got manual windows and there is just NOWHERE i can see that I can make a spaeakerpod sit to get good imaging.

Sports cars are fun but nothing but trouble. I'll fix up a 944S2 or a 968 later on when I have a garage and money to buy a GOOD one to start with.

All the reasons I bought my tacoma....also 4 banger 5 spd with no balls. But its a truck, unless you're pulling a boat or something...no real need for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Mine works just fine with anything I've thrown in the bed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Tacos>rangers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Remember, this is with just the driver and ZERO load on flat terrain topping out @ 48 MPH ... As soon as you throw several hundred pounds in the back plus less-than-ideal terrain, both of them are going to be around 15 MPG, so you might as well take the one with more power (I'd opt for the 4 liter, personally) ...
Really?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I should have got a six banger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif OH well, hard enough to find a nice tacoma for sale, let alone only a 6cyl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So far the only qualm I have about this truck is I'm 6'9" tall and while using the clutch my knee hits the turn signal. If I could modify that, It would be great...

The only hauling I will be doing is occasional and light, most of the time I will be daily driving it just like I did my Porsche. Errands for the business, normal travel to destinations. I think I'm gonna buy it or a similar truck with a v6 automatic to solve the turn signal issue..., I like toyota but frankly I don't feel like paying for one especially if its an extra cab.

If it's just occasional and light, maybe you should get a hatchback ... Much better fuel economy because they're lighter and much more aerodynamic ...
That's what I had. I want to get a VW Golf Turbo Deisel.

******* it this truck ****ing sucks ***. I',m driving it as a loaner until I pay for it, and it's slow as hell and is getting pretty lackluster gas mileage. It even leaks after rain in the cabin through the back window, and I think the 3rd gear synchro is blown. WOrse off, when you rev it up, the voltage drops and the battery light comes on. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I have some shitty luck.
