I think last I heard he was doing pretty shitty.... And so, this was probably for the best....

Anyway, he will be missed... Now the Music Industry can put out a mix CD with all this stuff and charge way too much for it and people will buy it....

My tastes run to more of the 80's-90's heavy metal, classic rock, Led Zepplilin, Tool, APC, etc. But I saw James Brown at a party at CES one year about 4 years ago and he was BAD ***.

He put on one of the best shows I had seen (and I had seen a few of my favorite bands near their prime). 3 hour set, he was drenched in sweat halfway through and had to change. He put some guys 1/3rd his age to shame.

Heard that when he was on tour he would fix his hair to go out in the middle of the night to get a bucket of ice in case a fan saw him. As an entertainer he was pretty much always on. He will be missed.
