right way to use t-taps.

is the right way to use t-taps like this? you put one wire through one hole and the other wire through the other hole? also what is better to use when it comes to wiring up something, butt connectors or t-taps?

they clamp on to teh wire. so you can tap in to it with out cutting the wire. good for alarms. or gettign p[ower from a stock radio where you cant disconect the radio..

but they can cause problems because they dont always have a good conection.

this is what a t-tap is. all it basiclly does i think is just clamp onto the wires.

I used t-taps for my alarm, they work fairly well

when I can't use solder and shring tubing I use posi-locks. They sell them at walmart, for like $5 for a back of 10 or so. A bit pricy, but i've never had one come loose. The sell tap connectors, and butt-connector like connectors.

those look like they are better. but ur best bet is to strip the wire and solder and electrical tape it up
