Rice crispy sounds

just got my amp back and along with it I installed a new set of Monster RCA's. Ran a direct ground to the battery from the HU as per Pioneer instruction because of clicking or popping sound when I switched functions or powered on/off(didn't work). Everything when well until I screwed the HU back into the dash, back out of the shop and turned it on. It made some real snap, crackle, pops and buzzed then stopped. After that it was okay but I quikly turned it off a pulled the amp fuse. It was late so didn't do anything else. It didn't do this before it pushed the HU into the dash and put everything back together. Could I have pinched a wire? I also got a little rain in my cab a month ago, could my ground be a little corroded? It is under carpet and pad that got wet. If it wasn't 19 degrees right now I would pull it apart and check it out.

Found out part of the problem. Monster 4 channel RCAs, hand all kinds of background noise and also played music through all 4 speakers when only 2 on the HU side were hooked up. I had them disconnected from the HU laying over the top of it, when I turned the HU on it buzzed a different tone for every change to the display.

ok ive had this problem and helped many others with this,Pioneer HU are notorious for ground loops.i had to cut an old rca, plug it into the hu and ground it to the chassis via a screw on the hu to get mine to stop doing that.
