RF T10001bd vs. BXI1606D?

Well if you're willing to spend that amount on a RF T10001bd amplifier, just get the Hifonics Bxi2607D, around the same price....more power.
do the hifonic amps have ay common problems? cause i know some amps have some probs. like the alpines always blow fuses.

Ive had my bx1500d powering my 05 xxx at 1ohm for about 3 years now. Ive had no problems with it and it powers my xxx just fine.

I dont care if the amp is overrated, it makes my xxx want to jump out of its fricken enclosure.

I love my hifonics amp and so what if it doesnt put out exactly 1500 watts. When you get into the 1000 + watt range, a couple 100 watts is not going to be noticable or make a difference, and besides, i paid $220 for my bx1500d, brand new.

Id go for that hifonics Bxi2607D amp.. For the same price as that t10001bd, youd be getting more watts..

i'm not looking at buying any amp now, just deciding on what to get in the future. but thanks. i'll check out the hifonics 2607.

i have 4 bxi2607d's and there all up and running. next week i am getting an oscope so i will finally be able to bench them.

it seems like the hifonics amps are pretty good. I like rockford's a little better, but if I can get a good 2000watt hifonics amp cheaper than a 1000 watt RF, than I'll look into it. thanks for the help so far, any other suggestions or comment would be cool.

I have had a Hifonics 1605d (the all silver one)now for about 2years on two type r's in a sealed enclosure. They sound really good and the type r's have no problem with the amp. The downside i have seen with hifonics is they draw alot of current. Mine does anyways. I have had zero problems with mine. I remember someone getting a hifonics benched and it was like 10% thd @1 ohm and put out about 400 watts less than rated. Just my 2 cents hope it helps.
