RF won't recone them, they don't stock the parts for them anymore.Well, that's the last I heard when I talked to them about a friend's recone.

FYI: The power HX2 uses a 4" coil, RE could probably do it.But you'll need to talk to the right person.They've told some people yes, some people no on 4" coils.

SO I'm a jackass and forgot it was Sunday today, cant find out until tomorrow. Is RE open today?? Who should I talk to about a possible hybrid/re recone? What soft parts should I use?

RE is open tomarow, just call and say you are curious about reconing a sub and let them know what it is. Then they will either tell u no they wont do it or to send it and they will see what they can do with it

What advantages would I get when using softparts from the MT or something of the likes vs the softparts of the HX2?

Would a HX2/MT hybrid do well?

Allstar, what kind of wattage are you sending those babies, and any scores?

At one point I had one 1501bd strapped to each sub, but I sold the other 1501bd amp because it was just too loud for me. Also, I didn't want to risk blowing a 1501bd by running it @ 1 ohm.
About a year ago, I hit 149.2 on the TL with my current set-up of 2 HX2 15"s and the one 1501bd at a show in Portland. This was without any tweaking in its current daily driver box (9.0 cubes @ 33hz). I would have easily taken that competition had I signed up and tweaked my settings a little. The winner of the class I would have been in won at 147 something with 2 Audiobahn's. $500 first place cash prize.

i just talked to RF about a week ago about the 12" recones and they said they still have them,maybe thats just the 12's though,might wanna check back just incase someone was mistaken

mt hybrid gets my vote. and have rebasket it to an 18 that would be sweet
