Hey guys one of my friends wants to buy 2 12" HX2 off ebay. He wanted to know if they are good subs that hit loud and what kind of amp should he get? I didn't know what to tell him.

The RF HX2 are somewhat good subs, sure they hit pretty hard and loud but its downfall is that it all sounds like poop!! as for the amp its all up to what he wants to spend and how much power he's going to be sending to the subs.

Actually, I was thinkin about the punch HX2's myself but anyone I ask tells me the same thing.

They are loud but the sound quality is terrible. I would still like some1 to give me a better alternative to the HX2's

a better alternative to the hx2's in terms of sq would be the ed12o but doesn't have the spl the hx2 has, or the re se or re hc are good subs.

look into the Magnum D2's but the only thing is that theyre on backorder.

I think the RE HC would be a good alternative for you.
