Just curious, but I bought a couple HX2's. And the RMS is 500w. Well I will be running them off of a JBL BP 600.1, and with 300w RMS, will these subs move nicely?

Just wondering, because I do not want to have to spend $400+ on a new amp for these.

And yes, I know I probably should have asked this before I bought them, they were a spur of the moment buy...

If you are running them in a ported box at least 3.5 cubes for both then they will get very loud:)

Great speakers and they can take a ton of abuse before crapping out on you. If you choose to abuse them...

Well I plan on running them in a ~35Hz box that someone on the forums built for me. Both the subs and the box should be here today.

The box measures 34 x 16 x 20, if I remember correctly. Is this enough space for them?...

I have the HX2's running in parallel (I think to 1 ohm, the actual posts are wired together and then the two plugs are wired together on the box)..

Anyway, mine is in about three feet (at the most) and I am looking to get a bigger box however I have a Kicker kx1200.1 driving them and the totally kill.

I used to have to really push the amp (I had dimming lights and whatnot when it was in ported), now I have it slot ported and the subs are firing upwards in the back of the Durango and they sound incredible.

Excellent subs, I would do it again.

I would need all the measuments to check for you. Port, box, Building, material...

But as long as the box is "minimum" of 3.5ft^3 with 32 square inchs of port area, It is going to slam:)
