how long does this generally take? would most auto shops be able to do it? how much should i expect to pay? and will it affect any other systems in my car? (like a h/o alt lowers ur fuel efficiency)

thanks. i have an 09 honda civic lx. its an 80a alt. looking to get as much as i can without a h/o.

last time I checked at the local alternator place here they charged $1 per amp you wanted... but thats been along time ago... as far as the other stuff no idea

i would assume with the markups now on everything min. $3 an amp more you want.. plus labor

i'm looking at getting mine done bump my 105a/80 to 140-150/100 if i can if not i'm ordering a 220/115 found one for $277 at db electrical depending on how everything goes after I put in my yellowtop / big 3

crap thats gonna be spend. i need 100a minimum. depends how much they can fit tho.. 120 would be nice. but that would be $60/120 plus labor. would that really be worth it?

I was looking into getting mine rewound but after I looked around alot of people were complaining that they were messing up on them so I just got a h/o. The last thing you want to do is pay to have your stock one upgraded and 6 months later it takes a $hit on you.
