wondering how the 6.5 pioneer rev components compare against pg rsd 6.5 of headunit power. the revs i can get for 140 shipped and pgs for 100 shipped.

go with the rsd's and get an amp?? you already have $40 towards your new amp if you go with the rsds.

don't run either off HU power. bad idea. they won't get loud or sound good.

I have rev 6.5 comp set running off 75w rms and they really crank and sound good while doing it. For the money they are really hard to beat. You may have to play with the tweeter a bit, i found it a little harsh at times.

i was planning on getting the RSD's myself .. and seeing how they sound .. since they are only 100$ .. i could go with some infiniti Kappa's .. but those tweeters are big and shiny

I do not believe this...speakers rated at 60rms and 120peak do not need 150rms to sound good.

A minimum of 150RMS? Are you crazy? I would say that is nearing their upper limit!

75RMS is plenty for those. Will more power help them out? Sure it will. But their MINIMUM is weeeeeeeell below 150.....somewhere around 50RMS

A brand new 2x150w rms CA600 amp at $69 factory direct would be a great choice for either, imo.

Agreed. Profile makes some of the most affordable stuff out there that isn't garbage. I had an AP2000 powering two sealed CVR's and they got loud.
