Reverse signal to head unit

having a real hard time finding the harness with the reverse signal wire. Can i just run a wore from the positive side of the reverse bulb?

That is how I wired mine. It is easier than removing the steering column shroud or the center console.

Like the previous rersponses, I did mines that way. Lots easier.
