what is a resonant engineering sx 12? looks like a bad *** sub. could buy one for 250 dollars but need more info on it. triple stack 90 oz. magnets, 1200 rms power handling according to the seller. the thing looks bad ***, just never heard of it. claims he hit 136 db with a 1000 watt jl amp and the one 12. don't know him. could be a liar.

all the pics of this sub i'm seeing have a RE on the cone. the one he wants to sell has a white circle on the cone with a black circle in the center of the white one.

i believe that is the older generation SX

does it have a 4 spoke basket or a 12 spoke basket?

and i would bet he did hit 136 with it.

with the right box and amp it shouldnt be too hard.

That looks like an HC not an SX.

The HC's had bigger dustcaps, and smaller pole vents, or at least mine did. Although that is what i though at first, that it resembled a HC. The one i owned was a 12 spoke though. The first versions of the HC and SX looked alot alike though.

those look like the exact same subs. let me reword. those are the same sub. craigslist denver/boulder, under electronics. caption reads, "awesome subwoofer resonant engineering sx 12 - 200$. thought that last night it said 250$ though. don't know if it was edited, or if i was just too drunk to read it clearly

go for it , but you can get the same quality new at Fi, for cheaper at that. Scott was part of RE and sold his half or something to that effect, started his compnay with the help of Nick, the SSD is said to be like the SX.
