hi everyone,im new my name is Todd im from upstate ny,and ive been lurking for a while and looooove this site.enough for intoductions
i recently purchased a pair of re se 15's ,i built a box for my daily its 4cf after p/d tuned to 34htz their in a 99 explorer,im running a old punch 200 ***** ana on them and it appears to be giving them a bit of a workout, sounds awesome for what it is..anyways my problem is that now one of the subs are making a scratching noise which i assume is the voice coil,it plays fine and cant hear it unless i go in the back and push on the sub by hand you can hear and feel the scratching, well i emailed dimensionaudio an ebay seller that i bought them from they responded with this
"Please check your setting and wiring on the sub, and amp. We can service the items, but you would have to pay for shipping here and back. Service will take around 2-3 weeks. If there was nothing wrong with the subs, you could be subject to fee's. Please triple check your filter settings on the amp and the final ohm load on the amp and sub to make sure they match."
i dont know if it just me but kinda seems as if he were trying to get me to live with it or take the chance of being charged "fees" should i try and get the speaker replaced or should i just deal with it .idk whats your guys opinion is the speaker damaged? ........the listing says"FREE 2-Year Exchange Warranty" ftw
