And that's the truth.
Does anybody have some pics of this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I looked at my alt yesterday, and I think I got the right wires down, but I'm still not too sure

I'm pretty sure that the pics can be of a newer expedition too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here's a shot of my dual DC Power alts on my Expo, only engine pic i have. Shows you what a dual alt set-up looks like on one though.
nice, im glad i saw that, cause im doin duals this summer probably.

can get a bracket made super cheap, only reason im doin it.

also, did you have to mod to fit that D3100? i measured and measured and it seems like it will fit easy.

also what year is yours?

pics pics and more pics
Thanks for all those! But I'm still having trouble finding out which wires are which.

I got this one: It's the Chassis to Engine Block (not hard to figure out)

Could you tell me which of the pics shows the Alt + to Bat +? I can see the Bat + run, but can't tell where it goes on the alternator. Is it the one that connects to the alternator on the driver's side?

And I can't see the Bat - to chassis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

edit -- Ok I found the Bat - to Chassis:

Mine is a 2002. I removed the battery tray and built a box with a 1/8" thick bottom plate to allow the battery to sit lower. The top posts were too close to the hood with the original tray. With the short posts i got from Scottie and the shorter mount i have good clearance. the brackets are no big deal, but if you look close my extra alt is driven by its own belt. DC made an extended pulley for the master alt that drives the belt that turns the 2nd alt. It's the same set-up used on Expedition and Navigator limos. Between the two alts, they put out over 600Amps and have been used for over a year with NO problems at all. DCPower FTW

sounds easy, might have to take a look, if not, ill go with somethin with easy clearance.

yeah DC is nice, but 300 for just a bracket is way too much.

interesting, i didn't notice the other belt.

ANGEL: its the one with the fuse.

The bracket comes as a kit. It has all the brackets, mounting bolts, the drive belt(with spare) and the machined billet pulleys for both alts. I got both alts and the bracket kit together in fall of '08 when i did the install. Back when nobody on the forums had ever heard of DCPower, lol. Back then they did mainly commercial, government and emergency vehicles. I told them what i wanted, they said "no big deal" and i had all of it at my door in about 10days.

..............................and sorry for the thread jack OP.
