Republicans are voting AGAINST tax cuts for the bottom 98% of americans, right now

End of the day, the democrats just ***** slapped the republicans, hard. And they're pissed about it. Tomorrow they're going to vote on it in the Senate. The question is will the Republicans really sacrifice tax cuts for every person in this country just so the richest 2% of people can get a bonus tax cut extension for their income over $250k. If they do, everyone in this country will be pissed at them. If they don't, then the Democrats win. Either way, the democrats win. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Again.
That's what the democrats think and that's why they played this game with every American's money. The Republicans do not have to pass this right now. They won the House and after the democrats see how this polls after this vote and how different it is in contrast to the link you just posted, they will be forced to vote with the Republicans in the senate, and obama will have to sign off on it. The democrats think they are being smart, but they actually have provided a golden opportunity to show how willing they are to sacrifice what is good for the people in order to play a political game. It also helped show pawns like you for what you are.

When the tax cuts expire Dec 31, 2010, the Republicans will not be sworn in yet. Once they take office, they can retroactively vote in and apply these same tax cuts if the democrats do not block them. It's very simple stuff.

So how about that unemployment extention bill? That worked out peachy didn't it.
Now all those people will be in homeless shelters in 6 months, with pitchforks and torches in the streets. Its already happening here in Louisville, there are fights breaking out in the unemployment office daily.
This is what happens when you reward people for 99 weeks by giving them a handout so they can sit around on their asses versus going out and finding a fucking job. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

LOL!! you changed the name on the quote. I am not the one who said that... you're demonstrating your affinity for spin.
I actually noticed that it wasn't who you said that after I posted but I figured it wasn't really a big deal. Really not sure how that happened. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I had multiple posts quoted in that reply so I guess they got mixed up.

So what is stopping them from passing these cuts in the lame duck congress, and then attempting to pass the bonus cut extensions for income over $250k in the next congress, when they control the house?

The reason? They're leveraging tax cuts for ALL Americans for the tax cuts for the bonus tax cuts over $250k.

This is by far the most stupid thing said in this thread....and that is saying something. The bill they just passed was to extend the tax cuts for all income under $200/$250k for individuals/couples. That is everyone in this country.
Negative fuckwad, on so many counts. First, it ain't the governments money to spend. It is ours. Second, we are not talking about "tax cuts". We are talking about tax increases. And third, the Democrats are simply back to their old tricks of playing politics with Americans money so they can set themselves up for the next election in 2012. They do not give a shit about "middle class" Americans, they only give a shit about covering their own asses. And last, it is hugely ironic that your Demofucknut buddies have ALWAYS talked about the "Bush Tax Cuts" as tax breaks for the wealthy over the past 7+ years...and suddenly, after they get their asses handed to them in the last election, they have rediscovered the "middle class" and claim that most of the so called "tax cuts" are for the "middle class".

You are a complete, mindless, left leaning, moonbat, fuckheaded moron. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

it takes EVERYONE to make the economy strong.
So if these tax cuts expire, rich people will all go broke and have to live on the street and steal food from restaurant dumpsters?

From an economic standpoint, how do you increase demand?
Give people who spend the most amount of their money, money. Direct stimulus or works programs.

Trickle down and the like would have an argument if all, or at least the large majority, of business owners did what was best for the economy, and not just their pocket book. If businesses get a tax cut, that is just going straight to their bank account, because they have no reason to create new jobs because demand doesn't go up. If they all were pro bono and took those cuts and applied them to new jobs even though those jobs weren't necessary, it would work. But because tax cuts for the rich are given with no strings attached, it doesn't nothing to help the economy. Look at my post in the f republicans tread. Tax cuts for the rich have never historically affected anything.

Also, I like how you spoke out against the premise of the stimulus after you've defended it for so long.
I don't see how I did.

Kennedy, Reagan, Bush.
Post the numbers.

You: Lie

Me: Proof and solid logic

You: Ignoring what I just said, putdown, spin.
Same old BCFosheezy.

This whole debate on if the upper class or the middle class would spend more of their tax breaks is irrelevant if the majority of the products they buy are imported.

Politicians have us rearranging chairs on the deck of the titanic.

The bush tax cuts were characterized as tax cuts for the wealthy because of the disproportional amount that the rich got, not that there were no cuts for the middle class as well.

And you mean they're playing the political game of showing what the republicans truly are, a party who puts in interests of the top 1-2% over the interests of EVERYONE else? I'm okay with it. Plus it's not the only reason they're doing it. They just don't want to spend an extra $700 billion dollars extending tax cuts for those whom it won't affect...at all. Feel free to continue ignoring this though.

Dems love to play the class warfare card, just like they love to use the racist card, the intolerant card, etc.

And I really don't care to waste my time "debating" this with the likes of you. You are wrong, as always. It's a fact. Deal with it.

I have an idea...how about the Dems stop voting for tax increases and all the fucking idiots in Congress actually cut spending? I say 10% across the board would be a nice start. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Hey, this country isn't sinking. This country is soaring! If anything, they're rearranging deck chairs on the Hindenburg!

Yes, they did. They already knew there was no way what they passed was going to pass in the Senate. There are actually some smart Democrats over in that body. But the House moonbats did it anyways. So, they just let all Americans know they want their taxes to increase, across the board, for everyone. Also, everyone just sheeple's along with the mainstream media who continue to label this whole debate as "tax cuts". If Congress acts, our tax rates will remain the same. If they do not and play politics as the Dems are doing, they are voting to increase taxes. It's really pretty simple.
