Republicans are voting AGAINST tax cuts for the bottom 98% of americans, right now

the company my brother works @ went belly up' date=' closing Dec 19th......he said 99% of the people there he's talked w/ have no interest in finding a job. They're gonna "take 99 & hit the fishing hole" or "sign up & go on vacation" ......what a joke.[/quote']
That's it. MY mother in law has seen someone come in and make $32K a year on unemplyoment.

In Charlotte, NC a single african american woman w/ 3 or more children can draw over $45k a year in unemployment, plus child support & food stamps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

And OP, the Repubs didn't vote against tax cuts, the Dems voted FOR tax increases, for EVERYONE. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

So in other words, it's the democrats' way or the highway? Nope. They only get a yea or nay vote. They vote nay, and then reinstate the current Bush tax cuts on the books. That is not saying no to tax cuts. That's saying a resounding yes! Lol you fail... hard.
They just voted no to extending the tax cuts. Period. That is what happened. You can't spin it any other way. Unless I'm mistaken, there is nothing stopping another bill that also extends the bonus cuts over $200k per year.

The riches 2% are the ones who pay the rest of the economy's wages.
And the rest of the economy are the ones paying the 2% to pay them wages. Both sides are equally as important. However, as jobs are a function of demand, the obvious way to increase the amount of jobs is to increase the demand, not just give rich people more money and expect them to hire more people FOR NO REASON AT ALL. you have to give businesses a REASON to hire. Giving them money doesn't do that.

You hurt them and you hurt us.
And vice-versa.

It's been proven time and time again.
Oh really? When? Show me some proof. Multiples, since it's been proven "time and time again".

No need. I already did.
LOL.

You: I'll prove it to you!

Me: Okay, prove it to me.

You: No!

This is by far the most stupid thing said in this thread....and that is saying something. The bill they just passed was to extend the tax cuts for all income under $200/$250k for individuals/couples. That is everyone in this country.

republicans are just the lesser of the 2 evils.

You mean the party whose leader (or one of them) said, verbatim, that their #1 key goal was to get Obama out of office? He just said, as one of the leaders of their party, that their #1 party priority is simply fighting against the other party.

WHAT IS THIS GOOD REASON????? Are you insane? You are not understand who the job producers are in this country. Do you even work? If so, don't cry when you get laid off Mr. 2%.
The good reason is that it will cost $700 billion dollars for something that will have no effect. Do you not understand that wages are tax deductible? Do you not understand that that means taxes have NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING to do with a business's ability to hire? Taxes on businesses could be 99% and they could still hire as many people as they want because that money is not taxed. Taxes on businesses are only on profit. Payroll is not included in profit.

Now bend over & take it like a man.
Bend over and take what like a man, exactly? The republicans have been trying to block Democratic since Obama was elected. What new are the Republicans going to do?

And so now voting for bills as described in the Constitution is defined as "forcing"? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Oh, and by the way, public opinion is that only taxes for the bottom 98% should be extended, not the richest 2%. Who is "forcing" things now?

End of the day, the democrats just ***** slapped the republicans, hard. And they're pissed about it. Tomorrow they're going to vote on it in the Senate. The question is will the Republicans really sacrifice tax cuts for every person in this country just so the richest 2% of people can get a bonus tax cut extension for their income over $250k. If they do, everyone in this country will be pissed at them. If they don't, then the Democrats win. Either way, the democrats win. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Again.

The tax cuts INCLUDE EVERYONE. If they voted no to extend them, then they would have voted no to extend them for everyone. Since this bill did not include them, it must have not been an extension, but something else. Yep, that's why it's clearly YOU spinning. The Republicans will vote yes on extending the tax cuts for EVERYONE and not just some, because of what you admit later in your post.... it takes EVERYONE to make the economy strong. Not just some.

From an economic standpoint, how do you increase demand? Also, I like how you spoke out against the premise of the stimulus after you've defended it for so long.

Oh really? When? Show me some proof. Multiples, since it's been proven "time and time again".
Kennedy, Reagan, Bush.

LOL.

You: I'll prove it to you!

Me: Okay, prove it to me.

You: No!
You: Lie

Me: Proof and solid logic

You: Ignoring what I just said, putdown, spin.

LOL!! you changed the name on the quote. I am not the one who said that... you're demonstrating your affinity for spin.

So do you only read headlines? From your link:

Oh my gawd D:
I read it, and was hoping you'd say this. I'm going to bring this thread back when your democrats in the senate shoot this bill down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
