The question should be, what works better? Pos Rep as a reward or Neg rap as a punishment?

I think who ever has the power to do so, needs to put some sort of Limits on the people that rep just to rep.

Honestly what I think needs to be done is that every time you wanna rep someone, weither pos or neg, you need to explain why and the Admin should read those like applications and apply the rep when justified. That way only serious posts will get reped and it would end reping just to rep.

Well, how was I supposed to know, I jsut joined. How about then yu can complain to admin if you feel you were neg reped unjustily? Then Admin would review and decide what to do, cant be that many claims.

That might help, but then it needs to let us see all rep instead of the 5. Otherwise you tend to forget who should get some back or who to remember doesn't.

No, I just read through what people were complaining about. This isnt the first forum I have been to that had a rep system either.

In most cases yes, but just like anything else there will be circumstances that would call for that. If say I asked a question that you didn't have the whole answer for, but say Phat did, and Phat repped you for trying to help with what you could, wouldn't you feel inclined to rep back for him giving you the rest of the answer? Now when it comes to hey, I repped you, rep me back, that is a different story.

goob isnt on enough to be able to handle complaints regarding the rep system. the rep system would be good if it could be used responcible. but that wont happen cause there are alot members on here that come on to this site simply to cause problems or play. i think there should be some sort of univeral limit to reps. like if u have 10 green, you give the same points of rep as someone w/ 1 green dot. but all these changes have already been discussed in the backroom.
